VLS (Vanilla Lisp Shell) is an Emacs Lisp package for interacting with inferior Lisp processes in a way similar to ILISP and SLIME. It provides commands for starting Common Lisp and Scheme sessions and interacting with them via expression evaluation, documentation lookup, changing package, debugging and other operations.
