Advanced computer algebra system that is a descendant of DOE Macsyma, whose origins date back to the late 1960s at MIT. Macsyma was revolutionary in its day, and many later systems, such as Maple and Mathematica, were inspired by it.
The system, which has an active user community, can manipulate both symbolical and numerical expressions, and is able to plot functions and data in 2D/3D.
